The Basic Staff Hat (BSH) course gives one a fundamental knowledge of his or her duties (hat) as a staff member in an organization, whatever that job may be, including being the executive. It contains a collection of key articles written by Mr. Hubbard on the management of the different areas of an organization. The course includes practical exercises to help the student apply these materials to the practice.
The course is divided into six different sections. They are:
1. Good Communication.
Affinity, Reality and Communication (ARC) and how to use them to improve relationships with staff and clients / patients;
2. The Use of Statistics.
Data on Valuable Final Products (VFPs), Management by Statistics, Reading Statistics, Statistic Interpretation and how to increase production by rewarding up statistics and penalizing down statistics;
3. Basic Organization.
Data on why it is important to have a job description, what an executive wants on his or her communication lines and how to control your environment instead of letting it control you;
4. Organizational Communication.
Data on how to make internal communications flow smoothly, without double work and having your staff take more responsibility for their projects;
5. The Third Party Law.
Information on the source of conflicts on conflicts and how to resolve them and the traits you must know about Social and Anti-Social Personalities;
6. Appearance and Manners.
Data on Public Relations, how important appearance and manners are and how to deal with the clients or patients, particularly when selling and delivering services.
Overall, the BSH course is a very practical course that when applied will bring more harmony, organization, efficiency and production in any type of office, large or small.
